Origin of Data

All figures are derived from 'user-centric' measurements, based on representative samples of the whole population of each country, via telephone or face-to-face interviews. All data are collected from large random samples, for example the National Readership Survey or comparable sources.

The reference universe in all countries consists of the resident individuals aged 14 years and above (except France and Great Britain: 15 years and above).

The table below contains detailed information for each of the countries including the name of the survey, the sample size and the fieldwork period:
