Switzerland still has the highest penetration level with 63,2 % of the population connected to the Internet in the last twelve months.

The penetration level of Internet is still increasing in all observed countries. However, while the evolution went very fast in the first years of observation, now the rate of these yearly increases is reducing.

The most important drops of the nonetheless still increasing trend are observed in France (rise of almost 25% between 2001 and 2002 versus rise of 5% between 2002 and 2003) and Austria (rise of almost 28% between 2001 and 2002 versus rise of 6,5% between 2002 and 2003). Spain is the only exception (rise of 11,5 % between 2001 and 2002 versus rise of almost 14% between 2002 and 2003).
